What's my style?

Last night I decided to sit down and create my profile for the dating website....so hard to talk about yourself and describe what you are looking for and describe yourself. I gave what I think is an acurate description of me and what my interested are...I said I like spinning classes...I do...I just don't go that much. I try to get the gym, but work or something will always get in the way. I mean I try to keep in shape...oh well.

I'm hoping that it won't take long for me to get some messages in my dating profile. I'm not sure what to expect. In the meantime, I'm keeping myself busy and my mind off of it. This afternoon I went to Starbucks over on Travis Street. Was pretty busy. I hung out and read my new book. It's from the Oprah Book Club, from awhile back. I thought I was looking pretty trendy. LOL.

It's boring though by yourself. I wish I had company. It seems like a good place to go for a date though. You can go, hang out, have coffee, figure out if the guy is a Latte with Cinnamon dude or a hard core Black Coffee guy. Does what you drink say anything about yourself? I dunno. Maybe I'll go back next weekend and figure out what people are ordering and see if it fits their profile of what they look like. Stake out the coffee drinkers.

In the meantime, I'm keeping busy trying to redecorate my bedroom. I've been on the House and Home websites and looked at hot bedroom trends for 2010. I am not sure if I like a lot of the ideas. Very modern and streamlined and I'm really not that type of person. Which makes you think...does your design say alot about yourself? I would think so...I wonder what some guys bedrooms look like. Is it plain white and boring. Just somewhere to sleep, watch TV and bring a chick back to? Or is it Pottery Barn'ed up the wazoo...and is that their style or did they have someone do it...like their ex...or their sister. Or is it copied out of a magazine to a T. I don't want my bedroom to be too girly...I'd like a guy to feel comfortable if he's coming over...but then again, it's my space. My recluse, my relaxation space. I guess I've got to keep looking at designs before I go out and redo it.

well, back to cleaning out the closets and figuring out what my bedroom 'style' is, all the while...waiting for some messages from potential dates...

Frogs in the Pond

Well, here it is Saturday night...alone in Houston...again. I have been so busy with work, that I haven't had a chance to create my Online Dating Profile on the Dating website.

I think I might be procrastinating because I'm afraid that once I hit the 'OK' button, it's out there. All my personal info...wait...it's already out there on this blog, so now that I think about it, what's the difference. OK. No more procrastinating. Tonight I'll create my blog.

I think the most exciting part will be to see if anyone sends me a message or wants to chat with me. It's like gambling I guess. You never know when you'll get lucky. I am sure I'll have to meet a few guys that aren't my type or I'm not interested in after chatting with them, before I meet Mr. Right. Gotta go through a lot of frogs before finding that Prince, as they say.

let's just hope it's a small pond...

Getting Back on the Horse...

Hi. My name is Gina and I am 25. I am new to the Houston area and recently back in the dating scene, and I thought why not blog about the ups and downs of the dating world. Surely someone out there will be going through or has been through this and misery loves company. LOL.

My last relationship was 2 years long and ended when I took a new job at a marketing firm here and my boyfriend didn't want to move with me to the area. The job was too good to pass up and we were fighting so it seemed like the right move.

Now that I'm settled, my friends, who all live back home and are either engaged, married or in serious relationships suggested I try an online dating website to meet people. Safer than creeping around seedy night clubs and meeting people through work. LOL.

In my spare time I enjoy racquetball, taking spinning classes at the local gym, rollerblading in summer and reading. I'm looking for a guy who's out for some fun but not a love 'em and leave 'em type either. He's got to have an athletic build, enjoys going on dates to the movies, etc and preferrably Christian.

And so begins the hunt!
